The miniopterus schreibersi, the smallest European bat, can be seen in the evenings as of dusk flying between the houses of Cailla.

Also at home in this region are: the Dohlen crab, longicorn beetle, stag beetle and Apollo butterfly and other insects. Prey birds such as the stone eagle and griffon- and bearded vulture are at home here.
